3.Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) is organizing the meeting “Mobilizing Global Response to Overdose Mortality” which will take place on the 28th of November in Geneva, Switzerland. The expected outcome of the meeting is an agreement between WHO, UNAIDS and UNODC on the position paper on overdose prevention that will provide guidance on implementing effective approach to overdose prevention and will be used for interventions planning on the national level.

 

2.The film crew of the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (HCLU) attended the first meeting of the European Harm Reduction Network (EuroHRN) in Marseille, France. HCLU interviewed professionals and activists from several countries to give you an overview of the current state of harm reduction in Europe – please watch and share!

1.THE GLOBAL FUND ADOPTS NEW STRATEGY TO SAVE 10 MILLION LIVES BY 2016

ACCRA, Ghana – The Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has adopted a new strategy which commits the institution to work with implementing countries and partner organizations to sustain and accelerate gains in fight against the pandemics. The Global Fund aspires to contribute substantially to international goals by saving 10 million lives and preventing 140‑180 million new infections from AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria from 2012 to 2016.
